On Duty

Hey everyone, sorry for leaving this blog for a time.
This is solely because i will be free during semester breaks that is in the month of may and the end of the year where i guess there will be meaningful things that i could share(during study week is just about studies...studies...and studies) which i find its very common and less interesting as we all will go thru it everyday if we are students.

Ok guys let me ask u a question... WHAT IS THE FASTEST MOVING CAR ON A BUSSY ROAD?
.

..............................
......................................... AMBULANCE CAR............................................

haha.. just fooling around.Man, they go 120km/h at jalan pudu(near the pudu bus station) during peak hour at 6pm.But luckily with the siren on.. if not i think we also die ady.

Ok recently i am on duty with the emergency department at ST. John Ambulance Hearquarters in jalan peel cheras. Its call EMAS( Emergency Medical Assistance Servise). This is because i had just pass my Advance First Aid(AFA) course... Man do u know how many first aid exams i need to go thru to get to this level. not 1,2 or 3....
But 4 exams.

Essential First Aid (EFA) :during form 2

Basic First Aid (BFA) : during form 4

Re-Basic First Aid (Re-BFA) :form 5

Advance First Aid (AFA) equalvilant to Emergency Medical Techinition-Basic (EMT-B)
:During foundation in UTAR where i meet hanjun tan, yee gang and sunchait.

So to qualify to the next level that is TTT-Train The Trainer course, i am on a 60 hours attachment with EMAS (above).

Let me introduce the cases in an ambulance job:
there are 7:

1) Moving Vehicle Accident (MVA)
2) Trauma (mutiple injury)
3) CPR (heart failure)
4) Disaster (worst case)
5) Medical (previous illness)
6) Transfer Patient (from hospital to home, rm 150 is charged)

My first 2 days of attachment:

1st day: Transfer a paralized patien to the court at selayang cos to claim his insurance and let the court see his condiation the fee by us is givin by his lawyer.. u know y? cos the lawyer will be taking 50% of his insurance claim... man ppl ady so poor and u lawyers are taking so much of his and drive away with mercidise benz. WTH. I heart normally its only 20-30%.

2nd day: also transfrer case. An old disable stroke man feom HUKMto the green gate old folks home opposite pudu station called the green gate home. His son called us to transfer his 80 someing father as he is paralized and cant move. Erm guys normally for therse transfer cases is involving people who is paralized and can't event move.

3rd day (22/5):
1st case- an elderly lady who called 999 and asked for the ambulance. The hospital will then call EMAS and there we go. She is suffering form block attery to her kindney, half consious and screeming in pain. We send her to HUKM.

2nd case- a mother who had privious backbone fracture who cant event move.. man we toke her from upastars of her house to our ambulance using our HANDS... man she screem so loud when she is being move. Sure its damm pain. Guess how long we toke to come to her?(normally its 9 minutes). we toke 1 hour. Y SO DAMM LATE? cos we got the wong address given by her children, so we look like and idiot entering KAMPUNG CHERAS MAS to find her house, we enven ask so much apeks(uncle in hokkian) at the coffee shop.
me(in canto): uncle ar lei ji dou it kho die ji mou?( showing him the call paper)

uncle: bei wo thai har ar.( talking to his other uncle friend about it)

uncle to his friends(in hokkien): eeh itleh TAN(name of the casulaty) nge zhe hokkian lang leh.

uncle: she doesn't stay in this kampung. Cos she isn't hokkien.(see how well kampung ppl know their neighbours)

Dear good ppl pls give ambulance the correct address if not we cant find u.

Back to the story. man just because of the wrong address we waisted 1 solid hour!!! man i even called back 5 times then only found it out. SHE EVEN SCOLD ME. BY THE TIME WE ARRIVE THERE SHE WILL BE DEAD( in canto~ley lei tou ley we ke sei jo la) =( . walau can scold sumore. we went to another kampung to find her.

1.30pm- eating lunch. I ate chicken rice at a roadside stall... then i saw a chinese lady with a white eating beside me( guess they are couple). then suddenly a few chinese uncle came by
u know what i heard?

in canto:
1:"waa lei thai ngo khor thong yan mui gha bei guai lou"
2:" song ma... kau chioung"

in english:
1: see that chinese girl she is married to a white
2: sure what... its nice... his one(dick) is long enough.

man. are western man dick is longer the ours?... u havent see mine yet. lol. just kidding... no offence

3rd case- road accident by a motourist. at jalan pudu. what happend is that he knocked onto a bus . NO. the bus knock onto his motor and he feel down and the bus tyre went across his left leg. Guess what happend.
His whole leg is broken into pieces... not into pieces la actually. His leg is still intack with him. But he cant feel his feat anymore so i guess the entire leg is brokken. including all his nerve...
SORRY FOR NOT POSTING ANY PICTURES!!! COS U DONT REALLY WANNA SEE IT.

last case of the day before i end my attachment at 10pm-
a sister. not that sister la. I mean the missionary sister or nun. Ok, what happend is that this old sister had stroke and she had been living with stroke for a few years. So i guess that yesterday was the day the Loard had called her. another good harted sister who stays in her in their missionary home called us from HUKM to fetch her from here back to their missionary home named Convent Infant Jesus as she cant go any longer. This is to pay their last prayer for her in their house before she go. Its so sad dealing with this case.
can u imegine i had to take off the oxygent mask when arriving at that home... god, after i take off it she will be having about 4 hours to live before she slowly pass away.... but then maybe its the only way as futhermore she is dying. so, the docter granted her last wish to pass away with the Lord and be surrounded by her friends and felow sisters.OK rest in peace.

sorry for that heart breaking thing... anyway we all will be old to and sure die one day. so friends take care of ur love ones and apprciate what u have. U may not be as successful or have any great acchivement in life but then even giving a sitting place to an old laddy is a good deed...

btw, we dint charge her rm150 transfer fee as we really pitty her, futhermore its just a church, how can we ask the sinior sister to give us 150 in hand.I event said "erm miss, actually we don't charge money wan"
BUT THEN SHE TALKE MY HAND AND PUT A RED PACKET INTO MY HAND.
so i toke it.So for this case we dint document it and kept it quiet.

ok. i went back home and made some tea before sleep thinking what i had did today.

Although i need to

walk from house to Taman melati LRT> masjid jamik STAR LRT> Chan sau lin LRT> walk 1km to Head Quaters. Then reverse again.RM8 transport + RM 6 food.

Its worth it when someone says thank you and give you a smile of hope.

going for 12 hours duty tomorow. GOD BLESS.

Allineati uno Italiano.

An honour to someone I've met in class that always made my Wednesdays worth while.

You smile, you always crossed those legs,
we looked at each other and you laughed.
Your elegance at the far reaches of universe,
holds untold stories and unknown mysteries.
The artistic beauty and the seductive fragrance,
all the way from the Pearl of the orient.
Like being lost in humour and passion,
with an offer of ice coffee during lecture.
That fictional exotic overnight train journey,
from Bombay then Calcutta to Shanghai.
Painlessly, it was all made worth while,
all'interno di tali piuttosto occhi marroni.

Nothing more than a friend,
Hanjun.

Snow Queen.

At first, I thought she was just a typical blonde until that very day when I was early.

She smiled.
She turned and smiled.
The smile that killed Mr. Freeze for Batman.
The smile that cheered the sun out of that moody sky.
The smile that stopped all the clocks and watches.
The smile that made flower blossom during this chilly autumn.
The smile that turned the snow queen into the fairest princess.
The smile that made me smile back.
The smile that Nat King Cole sang about.
The smile that made my day.
That smile.
Yes, that smile of Georgia.

Life is worthwhile when you just smile,
Hanjun.
